Courtney Simmons is a photographer of Denison University, working to earn her B.A in Visual Arts with a minor in Educational Studies. My practice is inspired by my experiences and work in educational environments I enjoy displaying narratives of joy and nostalgia to the human experiences in and within our natural world.
I love creating portraiture and capturing people in their essence. Much of my personal practice is in portraiture, both outdoor and in studio settings, where I enjoy illustrating narratives that put myself in conversation with topics of identity, media, and societal commentary, and natural preservation.
